Key West Aquarium (HTA-159)
In 1935, The Key West Aquarium was the islands first attraction. Today it is twice as big, with everything from sharks and tropical fish to jellyfish and turtles. The Key West Aquarium has an amazing history that has evolved over the years and it is by far one of the most visited attractions on the island. There is a holding tank where you can hold some of the areas most unique creatures, a 50,000 gallon tank that displays the Atlantic Shores Exhibit, guided tours throughout the day where your guide will tell you all about the different species while you watch him feed the fish, and even a place where you can touch a shark if you’re brave enough.
